Mazatlan II, San Jose del Cabo

Popular with the ex-pat crowd in SJdC, Mazatlan II is on the west side of the highway 1 mile south of the Los Cabos airport.
A mariscos palapa in the style of its namesake town, the main game is cocteles of octopus, shrimp, oysters, etc., along with grilled and fried fish. The star of the show is?without a doubt?the cabrilla in butter and garlic. The portion covers a platter, and is served with veggies and rice for 8 bucks. The cocteles were served warm my last two visits, and the ceviches were mediocre.
Food: 2.5/5 (cabrilla). Service: 3/5. Ambience: 3/5. Value: 3/5.
