Just returned from Las Animas - annual trip with my students from Dana Hills High - for those fishermen - yellowtail are in! lots of huge bait balls
- also schools of dolphins but tiny - we actually thought some small groups were vaquitas - also breaching humpbacks, a dead sperm whale on the beach
and amazingly enough a whale shark! This early in the year sighting may mean a great august for viewing as the water was only high 60s! -
