Does anyone know what the zip code for the Direct TV in Ensenada is? I brought my dish down from the states and I am trying to set it up, but it has my zip code from the States in there and I am trying to get a better signal..
Thank you

I'm interested in Direct TV also. Currently I subscribe to Cablemas but S.D channels don't come in so well; sometimes reception is great sometimes it's not.

Use the latitude & longitude

...to set up your dish.

About 31.9 N; 116.6 W at Ensenada.

No Zip codes in Mexico

Good luck

If you have a Telnor phone number the zip code is on your phone bill, but that doesn't look like what you need.

How does Direct TV work? I understand that I need to buy the dish and "black box" but how would I get the service started here in Ensenada? Thanks. Any ideas on how much it would cost?

In Mexico it is easy call your local dealer and he will be out the next day and set it all up for you.

Hose A How do you like SKY? Does it have the 4 major networks?

Bruce R Leech - 5-25-2005 at 07:43 PM

Hose A here I stopped at the dealer and told them what I wanted and 2 Horus later it was installed and they were gone. sometimes it is nice to be in a small town.

Hah! with two young daughters, a wife, three T.V's (and all of us wanting to watch different programs) I think I'll stick with Cablemas. The S.D. channels with the exception of PBS come in fine most of the day. Around ten pm or so they get a little sketchy but I'm usually ready to hit the sack by then anyways. Thanks for your help.

Pokey.
I had it for 18 months and I liked it as far as the channels and the fact I could switch from Spanish to English by pushing a button. As I remember there were 97 channels.

I did have two problems that might not be a problem for others.

1. With three TV in the house we all had to watch the same movie weather we wanted too or not.
With cablemas we can have all three on a different channel if we want to.

2. After the first year an extra charge appeared on my bill. When I questioned it I was told it was a mandatory membership fee to belong to the sky club. When I told them I did not want to be a member I was told it was pay the monthly fee or pay a $4000.00 peso penalty.
When the 18 month contract was up I canceled them out.

Sky called everyday for several day whining and sniveling wanting me to renew. but no one tells me I have to pay for something I do not want.

If these two items are not a problem for you then I think you would be happy with the channels you would receive.

Direct TV the company sucks we changed to SKY and are very happy with it except it is kind of Pricey. they are running cable here in Mulege now and I will consider it when they start selling. with the SKY you can git additional boxes for about 1 dollar a month each so we can have three different channels at the same time.
