Development on Mexico's Baja Coast Reports $100 Million in Home Sales; Paraiso Del Mar's Success Is the Result of Location and Prices

Paraiso del Mar, a residential resort development located two hours north of Cabo San Lucas, announced today that sales of single family homes and
condos have exceeded $100 million in its first 16 months of preconstruction sales. Buyers are paying attention to the development's beachfront
location, resort lifestyle and the reasonable prices.
Situated on a secluded peninsula in the Bay of La Paz just six minutes by ferry from La Paz, Paraiso del Mar is offering homes and condominiums that
have a distinctive Mexican flavor along with amenities including an 18-hole Arthur Hills golf course, hotels, swimming pools, tennis courts and
marina. To date, more than 350 units have been sold. Prices for the homes and condos begin in the low $200,000s and many of the homes are located on
the water or on the golf course.
"People are attracted to the natural beauty of the area, the pristine beaches and islands, the clear, warm water, the colorful coral reefs, and also
because unlike nearby Cabo, La Paz has been untouched by resort development," said John Fair, principal with Cano/Fair, the development company.
"Additionally, at a time when U.S. real estate prices are at an all time high, beachfront living beginning at $230,000 is another reason to buy."
Also, Fair said that people are purchasing property at Paraiso del Mar because they know the environment is being protected. For example, only 700
acres of the project's 1,700 acres will be developed. Recently, Audubon International named Paraiso del Mar as one of its Audubon Signature Programs
for its environmental planning and conservation. It is the only project in Mexico to receive such honors.

what's that old saw about a fool and his dinero?.........something about them parting.......
a deposit for an escrow maybe.....but never for the whole enchilada!
but there's also a lot of suckers being born every minute according to another master of dim wizardry.

I and many others said that about Loreto Bay villages. I personally like the Hill above the Hotel marina-- More class-less of an Association It is a
good investment

Lomas de Palmira - - - - Nice area Skeet, nice homes there, my insurance agent lives there. Further up the hill on the left before you get to the
apartment complexes are some abandoned buildings, looks like a resort. Urban legend has it that they were constructed with radio-active rebar and
were condemned for human habitation.
I think Pariso del Mar is ill conceived and has the potential to become another concrete monument to poor planning.

same bad rebar was used to build a beach hotel on the bay at San Carlos, mainland. it stood as an ugly shell skeleton for a very long time before govt
finally took it down, 6 stories of conc and steel what a peeer for the investors!

Lots of cheery prose on that Paradise, but it doesn't look like anything is actually going on over there.
