By the time the RVer's had settled in it was late afternoon so we decided to make the best of it. My wife would have no part of an after-dark trip to
Loreto or Cuidad ! All had quieted down by around 9:00pm when we went for a last swim and a quick sun shower rinse before bed. Another blissful night
dreaming I was on a beach in Baja ....
Next morning the noise was back, starting at sunrise. We were awake anyway and watched in amazement as the whole gang packed and left within an hour.
Just as quickly as they had appeared, they were gone ! The shock of quiet as the last one left was amazing !
OK, another day at the beach; tomorrow we would leave early for Loreto and then make Cuidad and Manfreds before gate-closing at around 7:00pm.
Besides, today was Saurday and the local school kids often come down to the beach to socialize with us gringos.
By 11:00am a busload of teenage school kids had unloaded and were busy singing songs with my wife and watching the baby nurse. We had 5 to ten awsome
babysitters on the beach for most of the day ! By around 2:00 we had made a huge pot of fish stew with our local catch, shrimp, clams and veggies.
Along with the last of our fresh tortillas, we invited the crowd for lunch. They were very shy to accept our offer and amazingly polite as many of
them tasted our stew.
By around 4:00 the kids had packed and left us to our private beach again. They took with them their memories of a fun day with us gringos and a few
boxes of pencils, paper and paper machet outlines. The contrast of a small crowd with the evening peace was again as noticeable as the setting sun. A
peaceful evening of fish stew and organizing for the next days travels ended with another late-night swim, shower and bed.
Tomorrow, Loreto and Cuidad !

Sharky, you old letch !!
Only the girls hung out with my wife. The boys were off throwing rocks into the water, exploring the island and trying out casting a few of my rods.
And yes, the truck.......
