There may be as many as 1/2 million vehicles that were flooded in the hurricanes this year,as many as half of them will end up on the used car market, the following is a site that you can enter a VIN number and find out if it was flooded.

that is cool comitan, most of them will end up in Baja Ca. so this will help a lot of Nomads.

Click and Clack had an intersting piece on that in last Sat. paper. It seems there are ways around the title search that won't give you the truth on the used car. This site is compiled by the insurance industry, based upon the claims that they pay for flood vehicle claims. What is interesting is most of the flood damaged cares are parted out which seems the reasonable thing to do.
