Click and Clack had an intersting piece on that in last Sat. paper. It seems there are ways around the title search that won't give you the truth on

This site is compiled by the insurance industry, based upon the claims that they pay for flood vehicle claims. What is interesting is most of the
flood damaged cares are parted out which seems the reasonable thing to do.
