Got to spend a few minutes chatting with Dick at El Mirage land speed trials yesterday.
What a character, first met him 30+ years ago.
Dick reminded me "I built the 'Big Oly Bronco' for PJ and I rode with him twice before they fired me!"
Then he talked a bit about the Chevy they built after PJ left Stroppe.
Dick still has the fire in his eye, says he is still building race cars in SoCal.
Said that he sees Parnelli "all the time."
Good memories of one of the really "good old boys of Baja"
