Seeking wetsuit advice!
Sweetheart and will want to snorkel in late January, Feb and March of '06. Brrrr!!! Water temps are likely to be in the 60's from what I've read?
So, were looking at wetsuits ... I've seen 3,5,6, and 7 mm suits. Thinking of full suits as a warm sweetheart is a happy sweetheart. How thick a
suit do folks use for snorkeling (most of our time will be on the surface). Any brands to avoid? Looking at less $$ suits ... don't need to be
wearing Armani's. Lots of them on eBay.
Any advice appreciated!

Wetsuit preference is kind of like beer preference. Most of us swear by Pacifico while some like Corona. Everyones tolerance to cold water varies and
should be based on experience and not left to buying blind on the internet. Go to you local dive shop and quiry a professional if you do not have any
experiance with water less than 80. I know people who use a 7mm in 85 degree water and others who would only use a 3 mil shorty in 60 degree water. Do
a bit of research and enjoy the SOC regardless of the temp.......Buenas Suerte..........

Any good surf or diving suit will work fine. The most important thing is that it fits well and moves well with you. Make sure the neck, wrist and
ankles are snug but not too tight. We normally snorkel in January in 3ml shorty suits or nothing at all on the sea side. For the pacific, I would
recommend a 4 or 5 ml suit at most for snorkeling. 7ml and thicker are for winter surfing in Oregon ! I like a front zipper for scuba diving and a
rear zipper for everything else. Seams that are stiched and glued last longer than glued alone. Remember, the thicker you go, the more weights you
will need so you don't float like a cork. Have fun, be safe and post pictures !!
