$1.82 for diesel. Waaaahooooo!!!!!!!! I can spend the money I save in fuel on extra days!

FYI... Here in No. San Diego County unleaded 87 octane is $2.33 at ARCO, $2.55 at CITGO, and over $2.40 at most other stations. It went up over 10 cents in the past week, it seems... Baja is a bargain!

Came up to the Old Country yesterday on the way to the SCORE Laughlin races. Had to get some fuel in Victorville today and Bingo!! :o the shock, $2.65 for diesel - I had forgoten. I'm used to the $1.82 variety in Baja.

I filled up for 1.93 for unleaded two days ago at Costco in Salt Lake City. Of course thats for 185 octane (we can use that as Salt Lake is considered high altitude). My Dodge runs fine on it.

I can drive to the East Cape {using Pemex Diesel} for almost the same price as 1 tank of the US stuff. That is rubbing salt in the wound everytime I fill up.:(

$2.33 to $2.37 was the range at various ARCOs for regular 87 octane around here*, yesterday. Well over $2.50 at almost all other company stations.

*Vista, Escondido, Carlsbad

Yikes! first time I sign on in weeks to see how everyone is doing and I find bad news! Here I had a plan to finance my next trip down Baja way.....I've been telling everyone up here (Seattle) that gas is WAY cheaper in Baja and if they just give me some bucks I'll go down and fill up cans for them  now I see that fuel is $.16 a gallon more than my local station! Lucky for me my friends and family don't read Antiono's posts so maybe I can still pull off this scam? ;D ;D ;D :saint:

When you get back, just tell them that all the gas was confiscated at the border because it's illegal to take a bunch of full portable gas cans back across into the U.S.

You won't be fibbing about the laws
