El Requeson '06 - Horrific ?? Part 3

El Requeson Horrific ?? I think not !!
Camping on the beach, dogs at peace running from camp to camp, kids at play running from camp to camp, adults at rest/play, warm sand, warm sun, warm waters, gentle breezes, fresh fruit, veggies and shrimp. Clams and scallops for the gathering... Fish for the catching... Relaxed neighbors all around...
Enjoy a pot-luck dinner with your neighbors from all over the world.
If you ever get the chance, enjoy a sunrise from the top of the smaller mound off the spit looking southeast down the bay.
If you ever get the chance, watch the sunset from the top of the highest mound.
Take a picture of your campsite and bays along the spit from the top of the highest mound.
If you are lucky as we were, you will get to see the flourescence along the shore of the spit. Walking in the shallows or thowing handfulls of sand can paint your own masterpiece.
Take a picture of your favorite and most peaceful view to look at and remember when you are elsewhere...
Take pictures of your kids to remember when they are too old to want to join you on your trips and you are old enough to smile at them all.

Thanks Bruce.
I would love the chance to get our families together next time we're in your area. I remember a great family photo you posted last year of the proud father and mother with a pack of beautiful little girls in fancy dresses.

Diver,
I have really enjoyed your most recent posts of your trip to BCS. It's obvious that you had a great time no matter what adventure came your way. Keep it up.

A few years back I took one of my Mexican pals on a camping trip to Requeson. He had spent his whole life here in Palmas bay as a cruiser captain. The little beach, the spit, the whole trip held as much magic for him as it did for me. On many of my earlier trips there I did not say to myself I was headed for Mexico or Baja or Concepcion but "to Requeson" -- it became more to me than any one other place or thing I could imagine. Thanks for dragging me back there. Right now I need a little Requeson.

Diver, in addition to El Requeson we also enjoy Cayote bay camping. When it's very windy at Requeson it's nicer at Cayote. It's fun to walk along the original MEX-1 there too and climb the rocks overlooking the area. Both places are just fantastic. My mind is wandering and I am Baja dreaming again. I am back to a trip we made there several years ago when one of the campers came by everyone's camp site during the day and said - "campfire at our camp site 6PM - just bring these three things; 1. a chair; 2. a pice of fire wood; and 3. some booze to pass around". We had a blast that night and heard a lot of great stories under bright stars!
