I've been over there a couple of times this month. It's been officially closed since the hurricanes by Fonatur, but you can walk down from a spur road
above the closed and gated turnoff.
There is a swimming pool, picnic area and bathrooms with showers, all inoperative.
But the area was/is an orchard, with orange trees, limes, mangoes, and ornamental trees too...like these big oleanders
Some of the trees are getting a bit stressed and need some water, this one's better than most, though:
The aqueduct, which waters many of these old trees, has a couple of breaks in it and the lower end of it is dry.
It doesn't look like it would take much to repair them. But Basuratur has had an "Under Repair" sign up for a while and does nothing. I wonder how
many summers of Fonatur stewardship these trees can take?
Rumor has it that Loreto Bay has aquired Primer Agua. OK with me. I don't like LB, but they seem to have a few more fries in their happy meals than
Fonatur. Maybe among these trees they can find some Magic Water Plants.jerry - 4-15-2006 at 04:22 PM
Ldought that LB will water the trees but it might just run a pipe to thier houses?? big tank?? pump??
that would be a shame its a great place but its in their back yard

We have gone up to Priemer Aqua for parties in the past, always on weekends.
It's the towns "unoffical" park, but times have changed in Fonatur's usage of the park.
