Today we observed/participated in two incidents involving police. There was a collision involving two vehicles at the corner of our street. By the
time my wife got to the gate and had it unlocked, the police were there already. Maybe 90 seconds. Then later tonight, at dusk, our dogs started
barking furiously. My wife went out to check, and said WTF! I was right behind her and saw a guy running along the 12 foot fence topped with razor
wire. He hopped over into the neighbors yard. Within 10 seconds the police were swarming and wanted to know, "which way did he go!" Some guy had
robbed a house nearby. There were over 15 officers and 8 pickups involved in the chase. Yes they had pistols but not flashlights, so I lent them two.
Happy to say I got them back, with thanks. Don't know if they caught the guy, but 15 minutes later there was either a lot of backfires or flying lead.
Very very quick responses by the local police.
