Puffer Fish and Dogs

Hi,
We know the dead puffer fish that wash up on shore can be very dangerous for dogs. Just how much of a problem is this for those of you who live there and have pets?

Thanks
Diane

My dog, a lhasa, just sniffs them and then pees on them. Never varies.:lol::lol::lol:

Lost a dog at Puerto Escondido in Sept of 1975. Obviously poisoned, pretty remote place then, dead puffers on the beach, chief suspect in my mind.
