Elections and check points

bajalou - 6-28-2006 at 04:17 PM

Drove to Mexicali and back today and the army checkpoint at the connection of Mex 5 and Mex 3 has the canopys, benches, etc. removed and no soldiers checking vehicles. There were a few at the barracks building but none near the road. I remember in 2000 that all the checkpoints in this area were removed before the elections and reopened several days after the election. Had heard it was to let the soldiers return to their homes to vote but don't know if thats true - but b oth years - no stops.

Ain't gonna happen. Mexico now has the most honest, fair election process IN THE WORLD. Whoever wins will win fair and square.
