In the 1960s and '70s I used to attend annual meetings of the Asociacion Cultural de las Californias, held at a town south of the border one year and
north of it the next.
The organization didn't have much in the way of formality but was on the scholarly side--meetings were attended by some well-known authorities on
various aspects of the peninsula, and some interesting papers were presented.
Haven't been able to find out whether the association has been given a different name, or simply folded. Does anyone have any info?
