Friday night, Dec. 5, was the Discover Baja Christmas Party. Even though I was tired from work and a cold. I knew I had to go. Baja Bernie had
something for me and I wanted to see my other Baja friends, too.
My 13 year old daughter, Sarah, came with me for the drive to San Diego.
People who post here or on the old Amigos board I saw include Wild Bill and LN, Neal and Marian Johns, Baja Bernie and Lu Ann Swaim, Jeans, Keri, Amo
Pescar, and Vee. Others I knew included authors Graham Mackintosh, Harry Crosby, Greg Niemann, Marv and Aletha Patchen, Marv and Gail Sherrill (2004
Baja Calendar)... and others! Stan Kellerup and Al were there, who also were at my Viva Baja parties, as were Hugh and Carol Kramer.
The big thrill was when Bernie Swaim presented me with a copy of his new book: 'Bouncing Around Baja'... Bernie opens the bookto page 57 and shows me
a chapter called 'The Baja Connection' and it is about me! There is even a cartoon of me in front of a mission drawing a map and pointing the way, to
a couple of amigos (maybe looking for the Camino Real?). I am very honored... thank you Bernie!
ALSO: Bernie has made an oval bumper sticker, like the old Amigos or Baja Expo one and he is including one with every book order! They say 'Bouncing
Around Baja' with BAJA in bigger letters in the center.
