San Ignacio Springs is open for business

Had an email response from Gary and Terry at Ignacio Springs letting me know they are open for business. If you need a place to stay, stop by or call. mail@ignaciosprings.com From US or Canada call 011-52-615-154-0333. Within Mexico call 01-615-154-0333.
Terry has spoken to some travelers regarding road conditions. One traveler stated that the trip from Loreto to San Ignacio took 8 hours, and they needed 4WD in many places. Switchbacks on the Santa Rosalia hill have washed away in one place and the big trucks can not get through at all. Their 3/4 ton had 12-14 inches of room to spare on the edge. This same traveler is headed north bound to San Diego and will advise us as to road condition later. This traveler has been here after 3 previous hurricanes and says this is the worst.
Another traveled from Loreto to Mulege on Monday, and Mulege to San Ignacio on Tuesday with a 2WD and had no problems. She reports Mulege has gas and they are using a generator to pump it, but when the gas runs out, they will be out of fuel for an unknown time. Power service may be down for 3 weeks. There is no water service in Mulege or Santa Rosalia.
As of Monday, no traffic was allowed going south.
