two days ago I saw an awesome sight while I was horseback riding along the coast from San Roque to Asuncion...there was a large motor vessel going by and behind it was a weird thing in the sky, I thought maybe it was a small helicopter looking for bait fish but it was dipping too low. I realized it was a kite boarder and he was doing loops around the ship. It was sooo cool and all of a sudden he would be flying through the air for a long long time before he landed again. The afternoon wind here was perfect for him and he sailed/flew all the way into the harbour in Asuncion!! So any of you kite boarders should check out our area for this sport! Great downwind ride from San Roque to Asuncion!!

Padre's good for learning - long flat mud beach shallow water- after that head for La Ventana - see you there !

I've been thinking about giving it a try in San Carlos, Sonora. There are lots of kite-boarders making a home there, and conditions seem to be ideal. The wind blows from the North, Northwest consistently 4-5 days a week from November to April. In one bay in particular the wind is funneled between two islands over a reef. The wind blows through but the waves are totally blocked. Kick-a$$ conditions exist there.

Around SoCal, there is always a large group just North of Ventura.
