the big cool down

Bruce R Leech - 10-10-2006 at 05:44 AM

this is truly the time we wait 5 months for every year.

in the almost 20 years that I have been In Mulege we have always gotten our first good cool down around the 5th of Oct. and always before the 10th. this morning I am enjoying 70 degree temp and 50 % humidly in the center of town. I am sure it is much cooler at my ranch about 6 miles up the valley.

so with Norman and 16e being shirred apart by upper level winds it is time for all to come down and enjoy the nice fall weather in B.C.S.

I'm at the moment halfway around globe, but almost exact same latitude - also here it cooled down amazingly.Better to sleep by night now. Expecting some rain too in the mountains.
Shows how small the world really is.

Yep, we finally took our tent down which we sleep outside in all summer as it was real chilly last night so we can now go back to our bedroom! But the water hasn't cooled down much yet thank goodness.

the road is only a detour and is passable. the El Patron restaurant was relatively untouched by the Flood . but the beach and parking area is gone.

So how is the Lighthouse accessible now, and the boatramp?

it only got up to 86 today with humidity at 50% right now it is a balmy 80 and dropping. this will be our first night we wont need our air conditioners.

IM in Rosarito Beach, and for the past few weeks it has been hitting the upper 50's at night. Sometimes during the day it will hit the mid 80's.

And now it gets dark early, and once the time changes, it gets dark at 4:45

In my 20 some years here, I've always stated that in the middle of October, someone turns the thermostat down by at least 10 degrees.
That's when the real nice time starts, weather wise that is.;);):biggrin:

Yep
Nice here in San Jose too. Still pretty warm in the daytime with all the humidity but there has been a change.
Ah, fall in Baja...the best. The water is still warm and the nights are lovely.
After being here all summer, you surely look forward to this sign that summer is over and vandy, you are right it seems like someone just turns down the thermostat.
Thanks
