How to spend 2 days and 2 nights in North Baja

rogerj1 - 10-11-2006 at 10:28 PM

After the Baja Cactus get together in Tijuana, I'm going to spend some time exploring. I'm looking for some ideas on how to spend my time and where to stay. I'm considering staying at Los Pelicanos in Rosarito Beach or Estero Beach Resort in Ensenada. The only ideas I have so far for activities is to have brunch at La Fonda and visit La Bufadora. What else can a 48 year old guy do to have some fun?

Go fishing on one of the boats in ensanada or with one of the pangas out of punta banda

Gig Harbour ?
Are you driving down just for the gathering ?
That would be SERIOUS nomadic behavior !!

Unless you like to sit and watch, I'd travel a bit.
Maybe a night in San Quinton at the Old Mill with Dinner at Jardines and some panga fishing next morning.
It would be easy to head south through San Quinton for an over night in El Rosario with Bajacactus, breakfast at Mama's.
The father you go, the more Baja you will see. Farther south, Baja and life seem to relax.

Why waste half of your days in Baja playing golf???
There are better golf courses in Tacoma and surrounding area than Baja.
El Rosario is a good pick, but a long drive.
Try the Guadalupe Valley. The Adobe B & B is nice, good wine tasting.
Laja is a meal to remember for a long time.
