Drive to Loreto

We just arrived in Loreto. An almost uneventful trip south.

One ticket in Ensenada. Legit. Our bad.

Overnight at Baja Cactus in El Rosario. 300 pesos. Dinner at Mama Espinosa's.

No stops at the checkpoints. The one north of Jesus Maria was shut down.

Road conditions were mostly good, but south of Santa Rosalia some of the vados have holes in the pavement that you won't see until you are on top of them, so drive slow as you approach them.

Dry and burnt landscape to near Catavina, then increasingly green. It's almost lush here now; not only are plants green with new leaves but there's a good growth of grass too. The cows and goats will get fat!

Might I ask.....

.....what you did in Ensenada? Rolling stop along the waterfront?

Many of us may be guilty of what you did and we can change our habits......

We country folk seem to come unraveled in big city driving. Or maybe it's our age (gasp! start new thread defending old folks!).

I ran a red light in San Diego...No cops around. Maybe they had a camera?

Paula ran one in Ensenada. There was a policeman there. Gotcha!

So, if running red lights is a habit, yes, maybe change that.

We only have one light in Loreto. Damn, I've run that too, it must be age.
