How many military folks on this forum?

Had to ask this as I know I have a Marine Brother posting here.

As a group, I've found alot of firefighters, mostly, in Baja. I've wondered why that is but that's my experience. And cops too and that doesn't make alot of sense either.

6 years in the Marines, mostly all infantry (0311) and enough action (Khe Sanh) to last a lifetime. Plus, they have to go and dump (if I remember this right) 43,000 gallons of Agent Orange on top of us (for defoliation) plus Agent Blue (5,000 gallons of arsenic). Waiting for the hammer to fall on this one. Vets dying of cancer doesn't exactly make the news. Anyway, grist for the mill.

Who's a retiree, DAV, did their tour and got out? And where you hanging in Baja?

OK. There is more military personnel in Baja than any other group. How about that. Damn proud to be among you.

First time in Baja was '66, surfed K-38, between tours. Been going further South ever since. Just don't mind the crowds. Family to me.

Dad was POW in Japan when Phillippines fell. Never talked about it.
