Maybe a silly question, but does October 31st bring out Tricksters for goodies:?:
I hope so, because I love to treat the little ones.

Hope all the kids in Mulege get lots of goodies, after the Flood and distress they need some good fun and lota sweet, to forget how bitter Life can be!!

backninedan - 10-31-2006 at 03:43 PM

Kids trick or treet here, but it seems they like to hit businesses. I watched Flyfishinpam had out candy last year at her shop, the kids would show up 10 or more at a time, traveling via pickup truck. It was a hoot, lotsa spider men and ghosts.

Bajagypsy - 10-31-2006 at 03:58 PM

My kids would love to trick or treat in Baja, of course cause it's halloween, it's snowing here, and around -10 with the wind. Just once they would like to not wear there winter clothes:)

FARASHA - 10-31-2006 at 04:01 PM

Sounds you got winter already - PFUI, coming up here too very soon.

Skipjack Joe - 10-31-2006 at 04:33 PM

I remember this Russian neighbor of ours telling us that his favorite holiday was when the kids would show up at his doorstep and yell:

TRIKI TRAKI

Summanus - 10-31-2006 at 04:39 PM

Bajagypsy...I left some of my tongue on a metal pole during a COLD Halloween in Prince Albert a long time ago. I can feel your pain...

Our telephone lines would freeze up around Halloween-time and stay frozen until Mid-May...then they unthawed and all the conversations would come spilling through. True story....

FARASHA - 10-31-2006 at 04:44 PM

FUNNY  I imagine just that - all the words flooding out through the phone. - like blaberblaber blaber:bounce:

Well it's hallowed eve and we are heading to the ghost town of San roque to commune with the spirits there...here in Asuncion, Halloween is considered diabolico...devils work so kids aren't allowed to dress up or go trick or treating...but day of the dead is coming up which everyone celebrates here...big hangover on Nov.3....

bajaguy - 10-31-2006 at 06:56 PM

speaking of cold and fozen, a frozen Snickers bar sounds real good!!!

Summanus - 10-31-2006 at 07:10 PM

We just had the neighbor kids over for some treats. One wore a mask that scared me...Frankenstein....looked like my ex-wife on steroids.

BajaBruno - 10-31-2006 at 09:16 PM

The last four years I have gone to Mexico City right about Halloween, but I have always missed Dia de Muertos -- my trip ends up being either right before, or right after the day. I so want to see Dia de Muertos!!

How is the Dia de Muertos holiday in Baja? Is it the huge event it is in Central Mexico? It really does seem to be a touching and healthy treatment of the loss of loved ones.

Tomas Tierra - 11-1-2006 at 09:54 AM
