Is it possible to have cell phone coverage on the road between cities on hwy 1?

between many cites yes but many others no. it gets real spotty south of San Quintin

Satellite phones are the only thing that gets service anywhere.
Cell phones are pretty spotty outside of most towns; as Bruce says "south of San Quinton".
Anyone tried a cell phone booster antenna from any of the conception beaches ? Otherwise, service seems to end about a mile or two south of the Pemex
outside Mulege'.
