New Year's trip pics/commentary

I recently had a great trip to Baja Norte for New Year's with some friends. We met in Ensenada for New Year's Eve, and then headed south to explore the area around Catavina. Overall, the weather was superb, with some cold nights (below freezing). I guess we missed some heavy rain further south on Dec. 31st.

We explored part of an old route east of Hwy 1 after leaving El Rosario, and we also did the trip into Mision Santa Maria (what a gorgeous area). A trip to the zona archaeologica west of Rancho La Bocana, and then a trip out to the Pacific.

That was awesome! Thank you very much. I loved the pics on the way to the mission and especially that hole shot. Good fun! Paul

Chris that was truly outstanding! The sunset pics, the road to Mision Santa Maria (great shots of the Widow Maker.. catchy name), and the new area I would like to visit (near La Bocana) looks great, too! Thank you very much... oh, yes, the Viva Baja sticker photo was cool, too!
