How windy is it?

windgrrl - 5-31-2008 at 09:56 AM

Good day from the Great Far North!

I check out the La Ventana wind cam regularly and unless it got stuck, it looks like it has been a very windy year, at least in that part of Baja.

Has it been as windy as it appears? If yes, please send some wind up here as we are getting skunked as far as the windsurfing season goes. And me with all that new gear to try out!

Thanks and have a great day,
W

Yes, it has been a windy spring in much of Baja.
But if you want wind, come to the Gorge; we have lots !! :P

...and we are just calculating the cost of 17 hours of driving/ week's lodging with and without the trailer! Gota save the pesos for the windter trip to Baja, eh?!!

Have not heard that the wind is up at La Ventena, but do know it is flat calm in Coyote Bay. We are 'expecting' a very windy Sunday, though. If so, Bob y Susan will have a great time on their cats.

On some days you could windsurf from Mulege to the bottom end of the Bay of Conception.:D The waves look like ocean rollers running from north to south.:D
