Careful on Saturday mornings. All the elite owners of the club are in fivesomes and getting mixed up in a four hour tour of the front nine is not
uncommon. Always hire a caddie.

Best play is during the week and talk to the head pro there - Ernesto. incredible guy and a real dignitary for Mexico as well as the game of golf. Was
the Mexican PGA tour winner and and senior tour champion. He will welcome you, introduce you to the staff and make you feel at home.
Weekend afternoons are much better for play and the mild weather makes an excellent round. Tell them the BajaGringo sent you...

Hmmm.. I wonder... is this the same club as the one I have been playing at in Cabo San Lucas? Is this a chain? I know that the one in Cabo is a Jack
Nicklaus design course.. is the one in TJ a Nicklaus design course too?

Pretty sure Campestre just means "country", I've seen a few Campestre's. There might be a connection, but I doubt it.

There is no connection with Nicklaus or Cabo with this golf course. In many Mexican cities usually the first golf course was named Club Campestre as
is Tijuana. This course has a lot of history and has actually been around since the early 20ies when it was first a pitch-n-put course then eventually
made into a championship 18 hole design. When casinos first opened in Tijuana the golf course was developed by some of the most prominent residents in
TJ at the time. I have played this course several times and love it. Early morning week days are the best times to play. I had the opportunity to play
with Ernesto and Rudy Mellado (first pro at Baja Country Club) about 20 years ago. Both of these guys are great players. People I have talked with
that have played this course only have good things to say about it. You really don't need a caddie but if it is your first time to play there it may
be a good idea to hire one just so you know the lay out and the roll of the greens. Putting can be a challenge. You think it breaks one way and the
ball rolls the other. You will enjoy this track for sure and the green fees are really not bad from what I remember. Cheaper than Bajamar.

I believe one of the nines was designed by the the guy who designed Agusta, alistar mckinzie. SP. We paid 38 dollars. Had a group of 12, 3 foursomes.
for skins. Very accomadating course.
