Can ya boogieboard in the Gulf?

We are heading to B of LA, Gonzaga, and south of Percebu next week. We will spend about a day each of those places, among other stops. A fellow joining us asked if he should bring his boogie board. I dunno! I don't do those water things. Any advice? Thanks, John

Those aren't exactly surf destinations.

Take the boogie board(s) if you want something to float around on in the water.

No surf and little sand... Tell him to bring the fins and a snorkel, though.

Bay of L.A. has tons of sand at the south end and a nice sand beach up near (just before) La Gringa.

Gonzaga has a huge sand beach from Alfonsina's all the way to Punta Final (except for the Santa Maria river mouth where it is more gravel than sand).

South of Percebu is my beloved 'Shell Island' an all sand barrier island, 4 miles long.

No surf in the gulf (except at high winds, then it is too short to 'ride').

we once had 3 foot swells in BOLA
