We attended the Chili Cookoff Aug 16 and enjoyed a very fine event. We camped at Tocanos and thought potential campers should be aware of the
following which are intended to inform not criticize:
1. no level spots so come prepared
2. no hook ups
3. Rest room facilites adequate
4. 1 coldwater shower available
5. Kayaking quite popular from cement ramp
and small beach.
6. Snorkeling and Scuba also popular
However, there was a very real negative and that was , Dales Dive Shop operation which entailed running an inadequately muffled air compressor while
filling the tanks almost every day including early Sunday Morning. A simple solution would be to put an adequate muffler on the compressor. Oh well!
We will possibly return to Toscanos with the Hope that The Dive Shop would show some consideration to the Campers who would and should expect better.
