Baja milagros

Many of us have had miracles occur in Baja. I would like to share a few.

Three happened in the same place (2 coves north of La Gringa in BOLA) and we now call it Campo Milagro.

One took place 2 years ago. It was a very windy spring day. We had 2 boats anchored via the Baja tether system. We happened to look at just the right time as one boat was pointing at a different angle than the other because the rope had worn through and had just broken loose. It was an 18 foot Klamath which was headed towards the rocky point. Had it missed the point it would have headed somewhere in to the bay; had it hit the point, it would have been destroyed.

We sprinted down the rocky beach to reach the boat and got there just as it was just about to reach the point. We ran out into the water to try and save the boat. Just as it was about to hit a large rock a swell came up and lifted the boat over the rock and gently placed it one the gravel beach. We were able to push the boat out, get it started and motor it out around La Gringa and put it on the trailer.

We then lost some keys during the beach sprint. We combed the beach the next day and found the keys.

On a prior trip, at the same camp, one of the Baja Boys placed his cot just below the high tide line. He placed his glasses in his boots. The tide took his boots and glasses. He was awakened when his hand was covered by the rising water. His boots were headed towards Guymas. We conducted a flashlight search and found the glasses.

Talk about finding needles in haystacks.

Anyone have other miracles to share?

about true miracles in Baja.
Greatest miracle I ever saw was the night Baja Vida found his way back to his tent after a very serious celebration for an important event in his life.
An even greater miracle was his ability to arise the next morning and be marginally functional.

Baja Arriba!!
