Where is this rock art site?

Photo from Jack Swords. (Neal Johns is disqualified as he has intimate knowledge of this cave!)

David, that really isn't a cave, it's actually a Sign Board from the ancient town of Baja Bedrock...It displays the 'Kentucky Fried Pterodactyl' logo, right next to the 'Rojo Coelacanth (see-luh-kanth)' display...

It's been hinted by some on this board that Neal Johns has the 'Secret' KFP batter recipe tucked away in one of his Baja reference volumes!

Site of cave

Las Tinajitas, or near San Pablo Visita between San Ignacio and Sta Gertrudis Missions. The motiffs seem to be common in the Central DSesert region, around places like Santa Gertrudis and San Francisco de Borja.

That is a good couple of guesses Robert... However, not correct.

As they say, 'close only counts in horse-shoes and hand grenades'!

Then it would be in the same general area as Pepper Cave in the Sierra San Francisco.

Yes indeed, this photo is from Jack Swords after a recent visit to Yubay. Neal Johns also has photos of the site where you look through a hole above the entrance to see into the cave.

When the Viva Baja Van gang visited Yubay (July,2001) it was so hot, we had little energy to climb the rocks above the tinaja to see this cave... and didn't.

Neal and Marian Johns have great photos taken at Yubay after rains filled all the tinajas in this canyon: http://davidksbaja.com/neal2

Thanks GordoyFeo... Tell us about your visit there!
