Cabo Pulmo in March/Road to Frailles

jdowning - 2-6-2009 at 12:15 PM

Hello All,
We are heading down in March and are considering diving in March.
How are the conditions in March?

Also, we would take our 30' motor home & jeep hoping to stay at Las Frailles. How is the dirt to Pulmo and then on to Frailles?

Thanks in advance for your help.

March can still be a bit windy and the water is cooler than most times of year.
We did get enough good days on our last spring trip for snorkeling/diving but we also got as many good surfing days.
Visability was not fantastic most days unless we were over 30' and out a ways.
Plan to dive early mornings if possible; and late evening/night dives.

Just drove the road to Frailles Its like it normally is washboard and very hard on a rig.

It has been graded every other month for the last year or so -- so if you are lucky it is good, other than that it is normal washboard and slow going in a motorhome. Water temp is around 70 right now with some tuna being caught just outside the bay on the north side. No wind for the last 4 days and lots of whales around. By March the winds have usually died off and you can get long periods of great weather. I drive it a couple times a week so ask just before you come down and I can tell you the current condition.
