The Lower California Guidebook was revised in 1975 to include the new Transpeninsular Highway and other major changes... The 5th edition guidebook
also was renamed 'Baja California Guidebook' and co-authored by Walt Wheelock...
The maps included were much less detailed than those drawn by Howard Gulick in 1962, but were based on his maps. They came in three sections in a
pocket inside the book. Paved roads are in red, dirt roads in black, 4WD roads are dashed, and trails are dots.
