Vinedos Malagon-- Valle de Guadalupe

Hi all,

My Wife and I are considering a few days vacation near the end of Jan, part of it will be a trip up to SD for some hard to find items. We wanted to treat ourselves to a luxury hotel BUT after looking at the rates for places like the Lodge in Torrey Pines ($300 a night!) we said screw that!
So we are opting for the Valle De Guadalupe, except last time our stay there at Villa del Valle was a bit dissapointing.
(mostly because of the owners pretentious atitudes)
So I found this spot after surfing a bit, looks kinda interesting, anyone stayed there before? I've seen their wines but have never tried one.

Wherever you decide to stay, make sure you're not in the middle of the road construction zone. Doubt you'll get a discount for the misery.

Hi,

I have not stayed there personally nor at Malagon , but I have visited some friends who were staying at La Villa del Valle in the Valle De Guadalupe.
It was on top of a hill overlooking the valley and it was far from the main road = no constructions. A beautiful place!

I have stayed there twice, Nathan is a great guy along with his family. They serve you a nice breakfast with the price of the room, they only have four rooms, believe me it is very quiet there, not as fancy as La Villa De Valle, completly different setting. I however like both sets of owners and have been treated very nicely by both.
