BajaNomad

Reality show #2

Gypsy Jan - 9-27-2004 at 05:58 PM

Survivor - Rene's in Rosarito

*Host JRbaja projects a suave, controlled prescence as he takes the participants through their challenges.

The first competition is the Race to the Post Office Social Security Check Challenge.

The second is the Musical Bar Stools at the Bar Competion.

The third is the ultimate test:

Remodelling Rene's - Build an Environmentally Friendly and Ecologically More Correct New Home for Renee's from Bamboo. Extra points given for designing discrete, attractive, extra large, recycling trash receptacles (the better to deposit Depends and beer bottles).

From an old institution (?), a new order emerges?

Neal Johns - 9-28-2004 at 10:49 PM

JR is swauu-ve? Scurvy maybe.:lol::lol:

But I like him, he's the only one on the board that is twice as old as I.

Musical Bar Stools

jrbaja - 9-29-2004 at 08:23 AM

I don't think I'd want to be any part of that slippery competition:lol:
The rest sounds pretty accurate though. And Neal, why do you think I had to get a place in San Bartolo. To get rid of my scurvy!:light:

Race to the Post Office Social Security Check Challenge...

LOL - oh my, that is a good chuckle!

Desertbull - 9-29-2004 at 08:43 AM

Well you joke about reality shows but one is really coming to Baja...this was sent to "thaaaaaaaat other" place but perhaps someone here is interested in depicting the realities of Baja w/family on a tv show....

DB

Hello -
I ran across your site while researching on the web. ABC Television is
producing a new reality show about family vacations. I am the show's
casting producer and I am looking for a fun loving, larger than life
family that takes regular vacations together.

We would really like cast a family that enjoys an outdoor RV adventure
in Baja. I am sure that parents and enthusiasts come often to check
out newly posted items at your site. We are working on a very tight
production time-table to cast this program and begin shooting at the
end of November. We are looking for families that are wildly
enthusiastic about their vacation, travel together often and have
children between the ages of 6 and 19. The lucky family will receive a
one week all expense paid family vacation and bragging rights that
their vacation rules! We are trying to get to the word out to families
that may be interested in taking part in the show through websites and
newsletters.

Would it be possible for you to post our flyer on your RV Forum? We
are finding that our casting call is helping to drive traffic to the
host's website. If you have any questions or would like to talk to me
directly please don't hesitate to call or email. I did just register
with your site...I wanted to make sure this type of posting was
acceptable before proceeding.

Thanks in advance for your time and interest!

Actually, I don't recall saying anything to you at all in the past couple years...perhaps you have me mixed up with The Fish?

In arranging the ultimate "family trip" you just happen to be the best fit for "that" position...and of course I knew Neal would love that!!!!

Geez, I think the funniest thing on that list were the kids that were selected...think about that for awhile!

ROTFLMAO...

Are you bringing the Tailgaitor????

Family Cook?

I hope everyone likes hot dogs!

Do you know what hot dogs are made of?
:P

Desertbull - 10-1-2004 at 09:05 AM

Minor additions of equipment and personnel to this vacation...this 40' moho is limited...

Santiago - In Charge of the Tailgator, a quiet adventureous soul until the Tailgator is fired up - then stand by!

Mike H. - Head Mechanic (Geez, how could I forget)

Doc Abraham - Medical Doctor, Resident Psychologist, Shoulder to Cry On, Mediator, Fishing Captain and all around good guy!

:biggrin::biggrin:

Mexray - 10-1-2004 at 09:20 AM

I'm on the way out the door to get my dark, 'sprayed-on' tan. Maybe then, I can be cast as the friendly, smiling, PEMEX attendant in Santa Rosalia (if you make it that far) that manipulates the pump in order to pump 450 gallons of diesel fuel into the MoHo's 50 gal tank....

Corky1 - 10-1-2004 at 04:16 PM

Could I bring my motorcycle and ride ahead as head scout.
You know look for large bushes!!

Corky

bufeo - 10-1-2004 at 06:43 PM

Okay,

I can see that this has some momentum.

I'll ask Drino is Dan Gurney may be interested. After all, he doesn't seem to have anything ventured south onto the Baja peninsula, and he was a participant in the "From Sea to Shiining Sea...", you know the rest, Rally.

This could get interesting.

Firestone? needs to get back into the rally scene. Then there's McDonalds?. I've connections here.

Oh my, oh my, we do have a possibility.

Keep at it, DB. This could be good. Should we alert Sal?
