David K - 10-27-2004 at 07:16 PM

Total Eclipse in progress... A break in the weather gives a view to tonight's total eclipse. It is 7:16pm and will be total in a few more minutes...

Eclipse

Baja Bernie - 10-27-2004 at 07:20 PM

Thanks David

Behind a mountain in my backyard! Hopefully it will pop up any minute now.

bajatorres - 10-27-2004 at 07:32 PM

Just saw it go totally black, over the Sea of Cortez. A few clouds, enough to make it interesting.

In La Paz......

Tucker - 10-27-2004 at 07:34 PM

coming out with a golden-orange glow.

David K - 10-27-2004 at 07:37 PM

This is great... anywhere else in the world on Nomad tonight with a view of the eclipsed moon??

Cyndarouh - 10-27-2004 at 07:47 PM

Sitting at 4500 ft in those black clouds Julian Ca, just can't see more than maybe 50 ft out side. We face due east Oh well.
Plus its still pouring down up here. Any one need some mud or rock?:bounce::spingrin:

It'll last this long

I can't get a break. The clouds were almost clear of it but they closed back up a poured again.

Marie-Rose - 10-27-2004 at 07:57 PM

It's just on it's way back here in Victoria. Kind of "smokey" looking! Clear skies. Cool outside...6 degrees (about 40-45 for you guys down south!)

still coming down in buckets here

jrbaja - 10-27-2004 at 08:09 PM

cleared up for a bit earlier but it's back

Yea!!!!!! Beautiful

Keri - 10-27-2004 at 08:21 PM

Bright orange, got out just in time to see it,the clouds gave us a small opening and then closed over again..k:spingrin::tumble::bounce:

Packoderm - 10-27-2004 at 09:21 PM

It was clear as a bell in Sacramento, but it is all finished now.

David K - 10-27-2004 at 09:40 PM

From Victoria to Los Barriles! Bueno! to Pretty good, eh?
How nice that we could go out and with 2,000 miles between us, see the same thing and talk about it?

Huh? Why would BAJA Nomads talk about weather in the Philippenes??? This was a celestial event, more interesting than weather, I think.

Nice photo Matt, but to the unaided viewer, the moon was much darker.

Great shot Gato

jrbaja - 10-27-2004 at 11:16 PM

And sorry David, I didn't mean weather, I meant :moon:

Taco de Baja - 10-28-2004 at 07:29 AM

really nice in Irvine.
Had to try to see it several times as the clouds blocked the view often.

STILL getting thunder storms in Irvine this morning. Heard this might be the wettest October in the history of San Diedo ( Well...back to the 1850's anyway)

David K - 10-28-2004 at 07:44 AM

Yah, pretty weird... We go 182 days with no rain, then wham! Just goes to show you it all balances out.

Bruce R Leech - 10-28-2004 at 05:11 PM

did you say look north or west?

Markitos - 10-28-2004 at 06:36 PM

Whoo Whooo that was rippng!! All the neighbors where out suckin up frios and watching. Great sight ,right between the storm clouds.
On another note. Rain !! Sheesh I had to head down to Tijuana and delay my trip down a week:fire: Inches away from finishing a nice contract and the big guy goes and pee's all over me. Guess I'd better check the Karma meter and see whats up.
