Dennis, I didn't mind your correction, with the spin you applied. Sometimes it is not what someone says, but how they say it!
I tend to type faster than I think and ship happens

Gracias

It is a collection of my passions. Not everything will be Baja focused, but probably 75% will be somehow connected to Food, Booze, Music, Photography and Travel Mexico

At some point in the future I will be offering some of my Fine Art photos on several different mediums.

Stay Tuned and come back often

Iguanas concert

Stickers - 12-4-2013 at 02:43 PM

I saw your post about the Iguanas. I don't know much about them except that they are from Louisiana and seem to do some music in Spanish?

I noticed that they will be in the L.A. area playing a private party and then doing a show at McCabe's Guitar shop back-room on Dec 13th. I plan to check them out and solve this mystery.

I have to tell you, I am a music nut and a musician, and these guys are the real deal.

Like the Garza Bros, Los Lonley Boy's, these guys are true musicians and they write some very creative tunes. Our favorite tune is, "The First Kiss is Free" My wife and I argue about the meaning of the song, but I think the title tells the entire story. One reviewer described the song as "cinematic" and I would have to agree.

Check out their web page and there are some video's of these guys.

Also read the Los Lobo's review as well on my page. I am not a big fan, but really liked this live album they recently released.

Keep it Live

Ask and you shall receive.
I updated the post with the link

Note: They have the colored and a gray and white version. I bought the colorful ones.

tripledigitken - 12-4-2013 at 06:43 PM

Good to hear someone showing some love for Los Lobos.

The album you review is a compilation of prior recorded songs recorded live with minimal amplification. Music from a 40 year career they are celebrating currently.

Check out albums Kiko, Colossal Head, and Tin Can Trust.

The live version of Tin Can Trust, is my favorite. In fact the guys that I play in a band with are pulling the tune into our line up. The lead singer on the live version, sounds just like our lead guitar player.

Thanks for your support

The traffic on www.cortezblue.weebly.com has been fantastic. I never anticipated that I would see the number of hits that I have received.
