i went back last march and it has just gotten worse, the marina that there building at san jose destroyd alot of b-tchin area and beach and the
traffic is getting bad. they seem to think that the more hottels they build that the people will come when the fact is most of them are mostly empty
year round.

Hi Grover, yes I have a (small) impression about Baja.
Basicly it is no difference as Mexicans like to live in Texas.
So, I am not disappointed at all at this time as I knew how it might look.
La Paz is a nice town, but basicly that what it shoulkd be: A Mewxican town.
Many of you guys told me in the past I will be disappointed when first here.
No, I am not.
I knew what to expect.
Now, I am intending to drive a lot in the very next future.
( I just had to buy me a car for to do so and found a good V8 Explorer for to handle my big flatbed trailer later )
By the way, to all those guys who told me a ?Baja marooon? by thinking about importing my Mercedes dump truck.
it is possible , no big deal.
You just drive across the border, pay $21 for entry, and here we are.
Only thing is, you have to drive it on your own and you gotto be a US Citizen to do so.
No Mexican can do it.
It means that the truck is not permanently imported. But good for 1 year to stay and you have to renew that permisssin avery year.
But, of course, no ?nding up in a Mexican prison?as I was told.
All legal.
Just a question of money to pay.
But 21 bucks for a year is resonable I think.

JR, I am intending to travel a lot.
Please post here or at another section ,, I was asking the same question more than one time.
It of course all depends on finding an i net cafe
But an e mail would have a much better effect.
