Another option for healthcare Information SOB: LiveHealthOnline.com (telemedicine)

Whale-ista - 3-23-2014 at 02:30 PM

FYI, I just received this Information from my insurance plan. (Anthem Blue Cross) and may give it a try since my doctor of 20+ years has retired, and the one I visited a few months ago as a possible replacement is leaving San Diego, leaving me wthout a primary care MD.

Details: go to www.LiveHealthOnline.com
No appointment required
Sign up and log in to talk w/MD within minutes
Doctors can answer questions, make a diagnosis and may prescribe basic medications
Available 7 am- 11 pm 7 days/wk
Private, secure, you can choose board certified Dr.
Pay standard co-pay (for Anthem Blue Cross members)
Approx. $49 for others*

*The newsletter says it would also work with non-members for a fee, avg. is $49 acc to the article.

Maybe this form of "telemedicine" could help those SOB who want to confer with an MD over an internet connection vs. driving back to US for non-emergency medical advice?

Edit: just noticed this:
As long as you are located in the state where the doctor is licensed to practice, you can receive online care in any state in which the LiveHealth Online communication tool is available to doctors.

CA is an option, but not sure what they would say if you tell them you are in MX...

Where are you based in Baja Whale-ista? I notice you do quite a bit of traveling in Baja and I would suggest everyone have a primary physician South of the Border when in Baja.

Interesting username there.

Good excuse MrAdamas. Have you also "searched" my credentials from the medical school I graduated from? My professional and educational background have nothing to do with my "act" and I consider your comments defamatory.
