A fun read. I'm lucky to have experienced that early Puertocitos road, and the nasty rocky road south of there. In the mid 80s I drove north from Highway 1 and watched as road crews graded and smoothed the road south of Puertocitos. Of course, today, the road is being covered with black death.

Glad you liked it... Combined my memories from the 1960's and 70's along with some history I have researched and always a great reference, Gerhard & Gulick's Lower California Guidebook (1956, 58, 62, 67 editions and 1964 & 70 printings).
