Cabo Fishing May 14 - 20

"After an epic battle on May 9, 2014 aboard the Blue Sky, a 43-foot Riviera out of Cabo San Lucas, skippered by Captain Juanjo Abaroa, our guests, a bachelor party team fought a blue marlin weighing approximately 450 to 500 pounds for 7 hours. Just as the boat neared to release the fish, the line parted, and the fish split," owner and General Manager Jim Korchinski related.

Although disappointed, the guests and crew were delighted to have hooked a blue marlin so early in the season. The water temperature was 82° and the hook up was on a green & yellow lure on 50-pound tackle and the location was just a mile outside Chileno Bay.
The host of the party couldn't say enough about Korchinski's eagerness to assist them in making the trip a resounding success.
"Absolutely amazing boat and fantastic crew provided just the right atmosphere for our party. The fishing was exciting , anchoring and snorkeling in Santa Maria Bay was a midday break for the entire group, with the final act being the "hookup" which allowed all those who cared to have a shot at pulling on the monster before the line broke."

"Thank you so much for an amazing trip! You've hooked us and we definitely want to get out there and land the fish next time!"....Eugene Kang

If you are going to release a fish, you really shouldn't haul it out of the water and manhandle it because the odds of it surviving go way down.
