La Paz Day Labor referral

MitchMan - 9-29-2014 at 12:32 PM

At my place in La Paz, I have 7500 sq ft of 2 ft high weeds, canīt see my patios. Need some day labor to pull those weeds and do general yard clean up as soon as possible. Any help with a referral would be greatly appreciated.

Check the Yahoo group LA Paz Gringos. Do a search just like in Nomads, and they have lots of referrals for just about anything.

How did you fare through Odile?

Thanks Udo, I will check that out asap.

Alan, i was very lucky. So far only $300 USD in damage: 4 security lights ripped away, propane tanks fell, but only had to replace regulators and hoses. Had a hook and chain arrangement installed to secure tanks for the future. There is a problem with the septic tank, I think, as there is a 10 inch whole above it and to the side which may mean the underground tank has a hole in it. Will look into that in October.

The unbelievably good news is that both my boats are fine! I fully expected that they would be ruined. The little 13 ft Gregor filled up half way with water which kept that thing in place...didnīt move an inch. The fiber glass boat and my Tacoma are completely unscathed! No windows broken, screens untouched, no loss of any plants (not even damaged), and just a couple of missing tiles. Even the two iguanas are still there, living inside the roof tiles. Across the road from my house is a big property with cinder block wall fence, like mine, but their wall collapsed on one complete side. Unbelievable!

That brings me to some questions: HOW DID YOUR BOAT DO? How about your vehicles? Any propblems with your condo? Were you in town during the hurricane?
