Chargers Game Saturday

Bob H - 12-17-2014 at 07:46 PM

Where is a good place to watch the Charger/San Fran game this Saturday, in El Sauzal or San Miguel beach area? (North of Ensenada) Does Ofelias show the game? How about the restaurant in San Miguel?

Thanks

bajaguy - 12-17-2014 at 08:13 PM

You might try Stella's, Ophelia's, Margarhita's, Planta Baja or the bar behind the Extra store in San Miguel by where Boule's was

Thanks BG...will do!
Go Chargers! Harbaugh is going to Michigan it looks like. A six year deal for almost $50 million. Not finalized yet!

bajaguy - 12-17-2014 at 09:42 PM

I'm not sure if they would be open, but you might also try Los Pelicano, south of the Coral Hotel on the beach side

EnsenadaDr - 12-18-2014 at 12:25 AM

why not go to the sports bar downtown Ensenada and drive an extra 10 minutes to get the decent TV's? I wouldn't waste my time in El Sauzal.

capt. mike - 12-18-2014 at 07:46 AM

why are they playing on Sat.??

We are staying at a house in Cibola del Mar and want to be close to home. That's why.

At the end of the season the NFL puts more games on TV, thus, games on Thurs, Saturday, Sunday and MNF.

Go Chargers!

Go Broncos ! :bounce:

we need a high draft pick, at this point of the year we aren't going to win the SB so let's look to next year!

we are the Chicago Cubs of the NFL.

What Rivers did to us was unreal!:o:o

woody with a view - 12-21-2014 at 07:04 AM

great win, no doubt. a defining game in the #17 to #85 hall of fame run.

we are good, but i doubt we're good enough to win the SB.

So, where did you go to watch the game??

bajabuddha - 12-21-2014 at 08:32 AM

Kaepernick is adept at kissing his bicep; I wonder if he can reach another part of his anatomy?

The miracle in Santa Clara

durrelllrobert - 12-21-2014 at 09:27 AM

First time I've seen the 49ers new stadium. During the 18 years I lived in SF I attended almost every home game at Candle Stick since my best friend was the 49ers Entertainment Director. I not only had free admission but my badge allowed access to the infield, press box and, most importantly, the Gold Rush cheerleaders motor home.:bounce::bounce:

Really disappointed with Harbaugh. This is his way of pouting.

And Vic fangio will never have a head coaching job offered to him again.

vandenberg - 12-21-2014 at 10:13 AM

Kaepernick is very inconsistent.
Looks like one of the best in the NFL one week and like an amateur the next.

Giving up a 28 to 7 lead at halftime is inexcusable.

Well, the weekend went just about as good as the Chargers could have hoped, in terms of making the playoffs.

The way I read it, they beat KC next week, they are IN.

Bills upset, KC upset, Ravens upset.

Chargers control their destiny.

They can't beat KC, especially on the road.

bajabuddha - 12-22-2014 at 09:16 AM

Bad news for BOTH the BN Chargers fans (yeah, yeah I know.... 3/4 of BN are from SC).... Rivers has a bulging herniated disc and may need surgery STAT... may miss playoffs.

My bet is he tries to tough it out, but like RG3 proved a broken quarterback is a useless one. Going to be an interesting next 4 weeks, eh?

The same was said about their game against the Niners Saturday. It was sweet payback for SF beating SD in the Superbowl, some 19 years ago!

Sweet payback??? This was a meaningless game.

David K - 12-22-2014 at 12:12 PM

Um, how so? The Chargers are heading to the playoffs and Superbowl (yes, wishful thinking). The only thing left to do is beat KC. Not meaningless at all... and good for future ticket sales, too!

Hotel San Nicolas! They have just recently (again) expanded the sportsbook/bar area. Added a craps table (vegas style), a few blackjack tables and roulette. It's really, NICE !!!!

Great place to watch the NFL games, etc.!!!

liknbaja127 - 12-22-2014 at 09:08 PM

Would like to see the game on Sunday! But if all works out, we will be in Bay Of LA! late afternoon. That's ok the Chargers do better when I don't watch:?: Sitting in the bay is much better than sitting in front of a TV:bounce: Good Luck to the Chargers!!!

Bob H - 12-23-2014 at 02:42 PM

The Chargers won an amazing comeback game! Incredible fourth quarter, indeed!!

Hook - 12-26-2014 at 08:28 PM

Chiefs starting QB, Alex Smith, has been declared OUT for Sunday's game.

Philip Rivers is listed as probable.

woody with a view - 12-26-2014 at 08:40 PM

Felipe Rios is an animal! he isn't gonna sit unless both legs are removed.....

Hook - 12-26-2014 at 08:59 PM

Rivers has quietly become one of my favorite Charger QBs of all time; right up there with Fouts and Hadl.

I was surprised to learn that Rivers actually has better passing stats than Fouts in many important categories. And he's only two TDs behind Fouts, yet he has thrown about a thousand fewer passes.

If he stays healthy for even 2-3 years more, he will, statistically, be the best Charger QB ever.

I cant believe it's been nine years since he took over for Brees. I cant believe it. Where did the time go?

Maybe next year... as I said, wishful thinking... but still supporting the home team (San Diego is the closest NFL team to Baja California).

So...there is a real craps table at the San Nicolas? That is great news. Craps is the best gambling game and if you keep to the better odds bets, you even win once in a while.

woody with a view - 12-29-2014 at 03:39 PM

lets hope SD wins it all next year cuz if my fuzzy math is correct there is a new stadium and more waiting in LA..... if they go i'll focus my obsessions on wet T-shirt contests :P and maybe women's mud wrestling!:o

BajaRat - 12-29-2014 at 04:12 PM

Sorry SD fans, Hang in there.... at least most of you live near the ocean
