SMILE, LIFE'S WAY TOO SHORT

RandyMacSC/SO - 1-12-2005 at 10:14 PM

Hey JR.

I know first hand that it's tough to SMILE sometimes around all those obnoxious
gringos, as you relate to them so often, but SMILE man. Especially in all that beauty of the Baja, it's kinda tough to figure out why you waste all those noodle cycles on it all.

Life is way way too short to waste time on all the ugly stuff.

If in a bind and you get Wound Too Tight, try this method of S*M*I*L*I*N*G; it has always worked for me in real tough situations.:lol:

Dear Randy Mac and JR,

In the spirit of the moment, may I offer another traditional Irish toast (in English, sorry, my Gaelic is not up to the occasion).

"May the light always find you on a dreary day.

When you need to be home, may you find your way.

May you always have courage to take a chance,

And never find frogs in your underpants."

Regards to all,

As to my ropa interior, no hay ranas!

Gypsy Jan, much appreciated...

As much as I have always wanted to learn...

RandyMacSC/SO - 1-13-2005 at 12:04 AM

to speak Gaelic fluently, my priority this winter, spring, summer and early fall 2005 is to learn to converse in SPANISH, and hold my own, so I don't have to feel like such a gumboot scrambling for the right words to converse in the native tonque of Baja. When Spanish people come to Canad, they try their darndest to speak Canuck, so it's important to me to do likewise, out of my respect for the people of the Baja.

I have 3 good spanish lesson books, CDs, and not much in the way of people to bounce it off in Switzerland.

Gypsy Jan. here's one of my favorite little Irish wits

It would be great if someone could translate this into Spanish.

The Mouse on the Barroom Floor
-----------------------------------------
Some Guinness was spilled on the barroom floor
when the pub was shut for the night.
Out of his hole crept a wee brown mouse
and stood in the pale moonlight.
He lapped up the frothy brew from the floor,
then back on his haunches he sat.
And all night long you could hear him roar,
'Bring on the gosh darn cat!'
