google maps has shown road closed or detoured south of Palm Valley. Does anyone know about this? We had planned riding bicycles this weekend, but
don't want a long dirt road detour or highway closure. Thanks tons

The last time I went through the area, there was a short dirt detour, maybe 1500'. It is probably done by now.

I just drove through on Tuesday and there were a few road construction detours but most of them were somewhat paved.

I just drove it Monday. Two short detours. You should be fine. One is rough and one is paved (detours).

At the end of the day, this route has been transformed into a must use. So much less time than just a couple of years ago.
