Dave, I don't think so. There were things in that email exchange with the U.S Consulate, that had nothing to do with this alleged case of a car hijacking, and I rather not share them, but I'm sure the U.S Consulate was all ears, because they answered me pretty fast.

I have a better idea, why don't you send you own email to the U.S Consulate, and ask your own questions about this alleged case, and I'm sure they will tell you the same thing. They will probably tell you privacy laws prevent them from discussing any possible case, they may be investigating.

So it's unlikely, we will hear anything about this alleged case from the U.S Consulate, in the near future.

I like to play games too, but not for trolling purposes. Sometimes you could play games, when trying to figure out a "trip report" is accurate, just by looking at the astronomical odds.

My game is called "What are the Odds?"

Lets apply the game, to a couple of alleged facts, about this carjacking story.

1. What are the odds that two newbies who haven't made a post of "Baja Nomad" since 2014, were discussing this alleged incident with each other before one of them posted the second hand report?

The other question both of them refused to answer so far, is how do they know each other?

2. The second, "what are the odds" question, I want to bring up is Doc Hollywood's post made over at "Talk Baja." In fact, Doc Hollywood, made a few posts regarding this alleged incident, and Doc Hollywood, also had that over-the-top thread, about going toe to toe with the bad guys on Baja highways, Mad Max style!

What are the odds, that Doc Hollywood, who doesn't know the alleged victims, knows so much about this alleged incident?

Doc Hollywood, make a few reports over at "Talk Baja" detailing what happened. However, according to Doc Hollywood, he didn't get the details, from the alleged victims, he got all the details from from a Doctor friend of his who treated the family. What a small world this is.

But I'm at a lost why the Doctor went blabbing to Doc Holiday, about his American patients, with such detailed information, giving the fact that Doc Hollywood, didn't know the victims. Don't they have some privacy rights in Mexico, in regards to patient/doctor privacy rights? I guess not.

What are the odds that this took place exactly like Doc Hollywood, claims? BTW Doc Hollywood, is breaking Facebook rules, by using a fake name, and bogus account. Doc Hollywood, also claimed he posted this incident right after it happened on "Talk Baja" but that wasn't true.
