1975 Auto Club Baja Guide

Just the second full year the completion of Highway One, the guide contains many maps and photos of historic interest from 41 years ago.

The cover for several years was the Eagle Monument near Guerrero Negro where the new highway was officially opened. Today, the monument is mostly hidden by trees and is now on a military camp. It was originally to be a museum and many Baja treasures were sent there according to some.

In the next several days, I will add views inside this book, if there is interest in them...

Hidden by trees???? Giant redwoods couldn't hide that "ahem" artwork.

The tall trees obscure the lower half of the eagle so much compared to when it was built, many people no longer know what it is.
