Our 13 year old Yellow Lab ate something. We and the vet believe it was wild mushrooms growing on/near the golf course. She was listless, not eating
and not being her "Lab Self". Took her to the vet for exam. he did a complete blood panel and discovered she had low liver enzymes and a high temp.
Treatment consisted of a shot of some sort, antibiotic pils and some seaweed type capsules (from the vet). Within a week, she was back to her old Lab
self.
Good luck with your Lab and hope he gets better quick!!!

Oh my gosh....how awful to be in a situation where you love your dog and cant afford the vet!
I once convinced a friend to get on a vet health insurance program where you pay something every month to cover operations and such. Her cats were
really, really old and taking care of them was becoming a financial burden. She said this option really worked for her.
Phoenix will be in my prayers.
