I don't want to Drone on but........

Crossed the border at San Luis on the way to San Felipe. As I have done for the past few years I took my DJI Drone with me. I pack it in the original box. Not sure if it was the holiday's or the Trump affect, but as usual, I was send to be inspected. I have a F250 with a camper, and we always get sent to be inspected.

When they opened my camper and saw the drone they started saying that I had to pay taxes. I argued and argued, but with no luck.

I told them I paid $250 and they dinged me for 16%

There's something going on here about drone registration. I think they're just following the money.

Why are you importing the drone into mexico? Just tell them you are a tourist and its for personal use.

Thanks for the heads up! Re-packing toys, tools, electronics and such in their original packaging makes sense, but if I find that I need to do that I will give the package a new skin of duct tape, and lots of ID labeling with a felt tip pen.

Why would you have it in the original packing?

Buy a pelican case. So much easier to get it in and out. Like 5x easier. Water proof and all that.

Amazon wants to use them for merchandise deliveries. For the kids in the neighborhood, it'll be more fun than duck hunting.

Drones would be good way to deliver low density high value goods often bought on short notice, like pot and doritos :light:

The flying warehouse is described by Amazon as an “airborne fulfillment center” (AFC)
