I am looking for a new 40-50 gal new water heater in Mulege or S. Rosalia. Thanks, Sharks:smug:

Sharks...I just put a new 50 gal. water heater in a couple weeks ago. My plumber brought it from Sta. Rosalia. I think the store up there is Abrams..but if not, it would be very easy to find the right one. They had the best price and warranty. Believe the price was about 2300 pesos..mas o menos! The amount was within the total bill of an entire replumb of our house..and you don't want to know what that was!! Too bad you didn't post sooner I gave the old 40 gallon heater away..it was in good condition and you could have had it for free. Oh well. Let me know if you need anything else in household stuff...we are selling our old house and building a new one.

We are rebuilding a 2 hundred year old house in San Bartolo as well as building some bamboo homes.
If you have anything you want to get rid of, I can bring up a crew to help you do whatever one day.

Thanks Pampano, was that a propane heater you were talkin about in S. Rosalia cause I would like to get an electric one. I think an electric heater is much safer with a palapa roof. I stopped in La Paz for a pressure switch but saw only smaller propane units in that store.

I think Oscar has some at his hardware store here in Mulege.

Sharks...yes, ours was gas...and I agree about being more fire-safe with an electric water heater in a palapa. I have seen too many fires out of control because of palapa roofs, walls, etc. The Posada fire in the 70's was a real wake-up call...and was started by a faulty gas water heater. As Bruce said, Mulege has a supplier for electric heaters. Check across from Canet's and near Anna's.

JR...I will let you know about any household items when we approach that point. Good luck with the historic home.
